2002 impala won't idle down

When I crank, drive, put it in park, reverse, it won't idle down.
When I drive it is have to keep my foot on the brake so it won't
drive itself and that's scary!!! Please help me, I'm about to give
up.

Is your check Engine light on? Does it idle high as well or only in gear? It's more than likely a pretty big vacuum leak or TPS (Throttle Position Sensor), and possible the IAC (Idle Air Control) Valve. If there is no check engine light, have a smoke machine hooked up to the intake somewhere and you should find a vacuum leak.
