air popping from top of engine, reduced power

What does that mean? Did your engine eject a spark plug?

There are some vacuum hoses that connect to underside of upper intake (1 near front center & 1 near back left) also has PCV on rear left valve cover that line runs to underside of intake in front behind thermostat housing. Brake booster vacuum hose.
Check EGR vacuum solenoid. Popping might be coming from exhaust not enough back pressure when you accelerate.
I think you blew out a plug which is a known issue with the Triton engines.
