drivetrain problem

i gets a clunk when starting off and when changing in reverse ....i just replaced ujoints and still no difference ...any ideas what the problem is thanks

its just rear end slack just the ring gear spinning opposite until it meets with the teeth of the pinion

how serious is that ...and what is the best remedy.
problem may be in the rearend,ring and pinion gear worn out.

i was reading that it might be the slip yolk ...so going to grease it and give that a try....i had my truck in the garage a month ago and changed ujoint and the mecahanic checked the driveshaft and no play in it
