Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the fuel pump fuel filter and fuel
pressure regulator I have checked the injectors
with a noid light everything seems to be fine except
for when I do a fuel pressure check on the rail I get
10 PSI on Prime and 30 on Idol all the specs I have
looked up have said it's to be 40 pounds of
pressure on Prime it is misfiring on 4 and 7 I know
for has bad rings 0 compression piston and 7 is
running at about 60% of what it should so I have
narrowed the misfire down bit i wanna find out why
i have no fuel pressure before i replace the motor

Yea, I see 30 to 45, so 30lbs is on the low side. I know the fuel regulator is new but if it is stuck open then this would make sense. Check with your fuel pressure gauge when the motor is running, pull the vacuum line off the fuel regulator. The fuel pressure gauge should show the fuel pressure rise about 7 lbs at least. If there is no change then I would suspect the fuel regulator. Then shut the engine off and watch the fuel pressure gauge. It should hold the fuel pressure for at least 5 minutes. Also did you replace the strainer on the pick-up in the gas tank?
