I have a 2000 Ford F-150, when I apply the brakes I get a shuddering from the rearend.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have had the brakes & brake drums checked, I have had the tires balanced and rotated, I have had the ABS Module replaced.  It has been in the shop off and on for a week at a time and they cannot find the problem.  Any suggestions?

Does it have the two-piece driveshaft? There is a TSB on that for causing a shudder when slowing down. If not, I'd still suggest lubing a drive-shaft slip yoke and/or u-joints. Even though the shudder from the rear end happens when you are braking, it may not actually be related to the brakes but the drive shaft or differential, so have those checked as well.
