I have found Ford engines are very sensitive to things like spark plug wires and coil resistance being out of range. It does sound like heat related ignition problem. Check the net for the factory resistance on wires and injectors, then check against your vehicle. Resistance on plug wires are determined by the length of the wire. The net should indicate how to properly check. This will require a multi-meter.

check your catalytic converters they go bad and they will absolutely kill all power and blow all of the main sensers
