Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just replaced the  battery, and this car never chimes at all (had to disable the
dome light 6 years ago when it would not go off) and now when I turn the car
off and remove the key, the chiming will not stop, whether the doors are
opened or closed. Thanks.

Sounds like a problem with the door switch.

just figured it out - it was the driver's side door switch. pulled it out and the chiming stopped (will replace in the morning). I thought it was had to do with leaving the key in the ignition (chime reminder). Hope this helps someone else. There's a video on youtube, how to replace the door switch- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbS7sxGS_RM
