F150 start issue

Asked by Rtdail Dec 10, 2019 at 08:28 AM about the 1998 Ford F-150 STD 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently replaced the starter and the alternator on my
1998 Ford F150. The batteries good in all my connections
are good, however sometimes the truck just will not start.
The last time this happened I had it towed to the repair
shop and when it came off the tow truck get started right
away. I drove it for a couple of weeks with no issues.
Yesterday I got in it and it did the same thing. Click click. I
drove another vehicle to work, came home at lunch. Click
click click. I came home after work and it started right up!
