engine & 4 wheel drive light always on

both the engine light & 4 wh drive light is always on.  had it on code reader, error was gas cap worn/loose. replaced gas cap with factory style, lights still on...

Did you reset the code after fixing the problem? The 4wd light shouldn't have anything to do with the cap being loose/worn.
