i have a 95 f150 4x4 5.0 recently changed plugs,wires,cap and button now my engine light is coming on,i put autolite plugs in it but instead of being pre-gapped what do they gap?

instead of my plugs being pre-gapped they were completely mashed down,i looked on
here 2 c what they gapped but found all diffrent answers so i gapped them at 42 i dont
think it was enough

.052- .056 should be on the black and white sticker factory under the hood of your truck.
