Fuel tanks

Asked by Solidwaste Jan 18, 2018 at 09:39 AM about the 1994 Ford F-150 XLT 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck running off the front tank and fuel is spilling
out of the rear tank. When I switch to the rear the
truck dies, and both fuel pumps are new

1 Answer

Most likely either the shuttle valve or the check valve in front tank pump has gone bad. replace the pump in the front tank and this should resolve your issue. (Side note. I did replace a pump and the issue continued- I had gotten a pump from a parts store (new part) that was also bad)
