If your solenoid is mounted on the fender well near the battery, check for twelve volts being applied to the low voltage side (small wires) when key is turned. If present, check the circuit on the low voltage side of the solenoid. View a video on the net for "how to check". If no voltage present when key is turned to start, you'll have to backtrack wire to see where fault is.
