Does one fuel pump operate dual fuel tanks

Is there one or two
fuel pumps for dual
tanks truck ran great
then I went to
accelerate and my
truck would not pick
up enough fuel to
move the truck and
would stall. Then it
would not pick up any
fuel to start Please
help all answers and
suggestions
welcomed Oh and I'm
a 55 year old women
doing my own repairs

There are pumps in each tank. When the ignition switch is first turned on the pump will run for a few seconds then shut off if the engine is not started, so you will have to jumper the fuel pump relay to run pressure tests on those pumps. Another thing to check is the switching valve, sometimes these mess up and won't switch all the way so even if you have pressure the valve won't switch, also some models had a filter inside the unit that can plug up over the years.
