Question type: Car Customization

I bought this truck about a year and a half ago, I paid 2,700 for it. the body is in
great condition, as is the frame, motor, and transmission. my question is, the
truck has a hood ornament. Its definitely factory. its not glues or screwed in. i
have never seen another one with the hood ornament on it. what does this
mean and is it rare?

but what does that mean for my truck? is there alot of 90 model f150s with this or is mine special?

Maybe someone retrofitted it from an earlier truck. According to Mac's this fits 1973 to 1979 trucks. Try a old Ford forum for more information.

I have one on mine as well. I have a 1990 f150 xlt lariat 4x4 with short bed regular cab. 8 foot bed. I believe it came standard with a 6 cyl but I have a 351 windsor. When I purchased the truck it had the old ford emblem on hood and was told a crate 351 w was put in. Not sure if this was special order out the gate or aftermarket. Anyone have any clues? Very original truck. None like mine around.
