Engine swap

My engine in my 2003 trailblazer spun a bearing
and I know these came with the 5.3 engine as well
but mine has the 4.2 vortec. Could I do a engine
swap with the 5.3 for a 2003 Chevy 4x4 without
changing the computer or anything?
