Chevy Trailblazer Issue

Asked by Michael Mar 11, 2016 at 08:23 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi.. I have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer LT and my rpm
is going crazy whenever I turn on the heat whether
it's full blast or just on setting 1. When it's not on it
doesn't do it. I just had my throttle body replaced
because the one I had on it was no good and I got it
from Chuck and Eddies. Any reason why it would
be doing that?

There is a ground wire not hooked up or bad, more than likely at heater switch,or dash board, should have nothing to do with throttle body replacement unless your engine is reving up and down all so.

The rpm actually only goes crazy when the defroster is on, just discovered this morning.
