Electric power off on dashboard

I was  having problems with my a/c control
button. So my husband take that off to
replaced. He probably make a compound
with a cables. Now we lost a power on
almost everything. Like dash bord don't
have any power now. We put car on
computer check they cannot found
problem. Please help with any
suggestions.
