engine wants to stall when i shift to park

Engine runs smooth except when I shift into Park.  It then wants to stall out, sometimes does, other times returns to smooth idle

Its a torque converter of some sort. This is what ford told me when mine was doing the same thing. It was replaced under warrinty. Mine is also a 2003 xlt premium.
