Why can't I see my odometer anymore?

All of a sudden I can't see my odometer anymore... all the other gauges on the instrument cluster work. Any ideas? A new instrument cluster is $300 to $400!! Surely there is another way to fix this... 2005 F-250 4Dr XLT Extended Cab

There is a fuse for the odometer. Try pulling it out and putting it back. It will usually start reading again but eventually you will need a cluster. You can find them on ebay for less than $100

My 2007 odometer just blacked out ,I guess Ford and their better ideas will charrged a $1000 to fix this !! My wife drove it to the gas station and the batteries were dead when she had it jump started,did this screw something up?
