03 Chevy Malibu

Asked by Oct 12, 2017 at 07:21 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Malibu FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car has had everything fixed on it from the cylinder
lock to the fuel pump replaced but doesn’t want to
turn over. The mechanic says that it is most likely
the Theft System and we’ve already tried the 10 min
trick but now the light for the theft system is off and
it still doesn’t turn over. I’m not sure what else to try
at this point. Battery is fine, spark plugs are fine. It
just won’t start up.

The 10 minute relearn procedure will not work in your case. You need to be towed to your local Chevy Dealer or a good locksmith for repair. Your PASSKEY system can't be bypassed either, sorry! HTH. -Jim
