My car will start but want stay on long before it cut off. I had the battery and alternator checked and it not them. Also no check engine light. What else might it be

Security system is active, check your owners manual for the shut down procedure. This usually happens if there was a voltage problem as they are set to turn on as a default setting if any voltage problems are detected.
