Truck wont turnover all i get is click click click click click click

My 2001 ford f250 super duty v10 triton ran fine this
morning besides speedomitor jumping all over we recently
had strong wind and rain from a nearby hurricane later in
the day i heard a loud noise outide by the truck after futher
investigation i found the noise coming from around the
battery like something was trying to run no keys were in
the vehicle and ignition was off i turned the truck on it ran
for approx. 45 sec. Then died down completley shutting
off i tried to turn the truck on and all it does is click click
click click click besides the battery maybe out of juice is
there any deeper problems i need to check into maybe the
starter or something in that manner
