Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my car wont start its not the alternator or the battery had the starter tested
they said it passed the test but it was making some weird noise in the
machine that sounded like it was catching on something the man said it did
not sound good. when i try to start my car the headlights are bright the
dashlights come on but flicker when trying to start and makes a fast clicking
noise. i also tried to jump it still wont start

Maybe you just need a new starter. Make sure the battery connections are clean and tight.

@Full_of_Regrets My sister was driving it when it died she thought she ran out of gas we put gas in it and now this is what it is doing. Do you still believe it may be the starter?

That is really hard to say. Maybe the battery is just weak. Did you try and jump start it?
