my 2003 chev cavalier driverside window won't go down when i hit the switch for the up position i can hear the motor but nothing in the down position

2003 chevrolet cavalier window is in the up position bur won't go down.  i can hear the motor run when i hit the switch for up but nothing when i hit the switch for the down position

you need a new window ragllater ,it has a cable that pull the glass up and when it brakes it cant move the glass

I do this for a living and changed at least 1,000 and It doesn't not have a cable! It's mechanical and the motor is bad. Buy the regulator and motor assembly, not individual pieces because the regulator is binding and overloaded the motor.
