Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was going down hwy and lost everything,
felt like I was in neutral. Pulled to side made
sure differential was still there checked
fluid, full and good color, tried to get drive in
4hi it went in to 4hi but still would not move.
Had to b towed 85 miles home :( I do not
have money to take to shop need to fix
myself just not sure if its tranny or transfer
case the actuator motor is working. It does
grind from reverse to park like the tranny
still engaged and spinning or something.
Please help!

Actuator won't do this. Sounds like your trans just capped out or the chain in the transfer case broke. Your gonna have to pinpoint where the noise is coming from.

Sounds like the tranny linkages have come loose, broke, are bent, or got moved, causing all your problems.
