I am having the same prob on my 2003 S500 4Matic Radio. While the screen is on and I am able to change the bands etc, the sound comes and goes on its own. Now it is mostly off. Also my Cig. Lighter plug in is not working. I went to a Mercedes dealer in Michigan and asked for advice. Service advisor suggested that it might be due to bad fuses. He looked up in his service computer and gave me a print-out, showing the part number and location of Radio and Cig Lighter fuses. The fuse box & These fuses are located behind a lighted Plastic panel, under the rear passenger seat. I will try to check and if necessary replace the recommended fuses and keep you posted.

The fuse for the Radio in my 2003 S500 4Matic is for sure located below the pass side rear seat. I replaced it yesterday and my Radio and every other vehicle function is now working fine. Take extreme caution in replacing this fuse. It is very awkward to remove and reinstall. I dropped it in the fuse compartment. It slid in and bacame impossible to to take it back out. I strongly recommend you to have an extra one or two good working switches on hand. My Cig Lighter is stil not working. Different Mercedes Benz fuse charts are showing different locations. One shows it in the above stated box and the other in the shows it in the fuse box located under hood, on the Pass side Firewall around the hood hinge. once I fix my Cig Lighter, I will post my updates. Good Luck.

I have 2004 350ml benz. Horn stopped working, radio stopped working, back windshield wiper stopped working. Found fuse box in passenger side front, but gives no option for horn fuse. Where do I look? Or am I reading panel wrong.

I am not getting ANY answers here. My 2005 SL500 radio stopped working. No Sirius, no CD, no radio. I turned the car off and on a few times and nothing. Also, it doesn't need a fuse because everything shows on the panel but there is NO sound.

You'll have to change the fuse on the AMPLIFIER. Not on the fuse panels
