Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1991 mercedes Benz e300 6 cylinder gas with 70,000 miles. I have a problem
that we can't seem to correct. When the car is stopped and it in drive it vibrates. I didn't
mind at first as the vibration sometime messages my aching back, but Id like to fix it. No
one seems to know what causes this. It only happens in gear. If I drop it to neutral the
vibrations stopped. Not motor mounts, plugs, wires, can anyone help. Contact me at
jtleonardo@gmail.com all answers appreciated. Joe

bad idle control or could even be a bad coil pack.

Coil pack is good. Was checked, but idle control was not. I'll have that checked. Thanks. Joe

Check the rubber rings where the prop shaft connects to the gearbox and differential. Also, there's a bearing in the centre of the prop shaft where the 2 halves join.
