Can I put 215 65r17 on my 2004 impala

I suppose one could but is not recommended. The car takes 225/16/60 size tires and to go to a 215/17/65 is 5.2% larger in diameter. So at your speedometer reading of 60 mph you would actually be going 63.1 mph. You would want 215/17/60 size tires to stay within the recommended tire size of 3%.

That’s fine it’s less than 1” of difference so they will be sticking out maybe 3/8” towards your fender each way
