Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driving to work this morning, the fan was in the off position All of a sudden, the fan starting
blowing on high. The AC would turn off when the fan was in the off position and back on
when the fan switch was in the on position, however, the fan ran on high no matter the
position. When the engine was shut off, the fan continued to run until the fuse was pulled.

Found the answer. Pull fuse. Pull the fan from under dash. Pull fan resistor which is right behind fan. This is the problem. There are a few different replacement parts, $40-$50. The cheaper is for manual control heat/air. The more expensive is for split controls, they are not interchangeable.
