2004 impala drivers side no heat!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi;  I have no heat on the drivers side on dual control model.
I have changed the control panel. I have also attempted to recalibrate the actuator by pulling the fuses and waiting before replacing.
The AC works fine, but no heat on drivers side. Passenger side OK.  Everything else, fan control, defrost vent positions etc., seems to work OK.
What else should I check before I have to tear dash off to get to blend door?
Replacing parts unnecessarily gets expensive.

TIA

You are going the right direction, the actuator which control,s the blend door from driver side,is stuck,or bad actautor motor.
