2004 impala 39000 k...what does it mean when driving down the road the doors unlock an the interior lights come on ?

You could try "resetting" the module by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes, then reconnecting. If that doesn't work, you may have to purchase a new one. I understand they can be purchased for under $100 at auto part stores. But they have to be brought to the dealer to have them flashed. The programs are vehicle specific and the dealer will flash it with the correct programming.
