Timing chain issues

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My oil filter and oil plug had a lot of metal shavings
I thought it could be my timing chain but as I dug in
there I noticed a grinding indentation mark on the
timing guide rail along with broken pieces of
plastic and metal can i get away with just replacing
the guide rail or is there a bigger problem here?
