Sometimes will start sometime as well

I have a 2004 Chevy blazer 4 x 4 4.3 I'm having
issue with not starting it usually runs perfect today
would not start I am plugged the battery for a
couple minutes plug it back in again it would not
start it would kind a backfire a little bit and try to like
it one to start let it sit for five minutes and it fired
right up and ran perfect  does anybody know what
this issue is it had apark good fuel pressure and the
gas gauge doesn't ackt right one minut it's full the
next it's says empty but it is fool I checked it

Check your cap and rotor button to see if there is moisture or any rust build up.and you might to have it scanned. Just to check for any faults
