wont start

my idler pulley grenade itself, so I bought a timing belt kit w/water pump, changed everything out, its in time, but it wont start. i'm thinking the valves got bent which means I lost compression, but maybe its something else.

Sounds like your on the right track, just run a compression test, that will tell the tale.
