2005 Trailblazer Ext

Asked by Patricia Jul 18, 2019 at 12:22 AM about the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Transmission would slip from time to time going from first to second then all
of a sudden when exiting the interstate it lost drive all together. Has reverse
but no forward. Have had a lot of electrical problems with this vehicle. Blows
relays once or twice a year. Has check engine light for gas cap leak but have
replaced gas cap 3 times no help. Is the transmission trash or is this another
one of those trailblazer issues that might possibly be something a lot less
expensive? Bought brand new I am the only owner.

How many miles on the vehicle? How often do you replace the transmission fluid? Once a transmission start slipping, you know it's time for a rebuild. Scan for the OBDii trouble codes since the CEL is on. It might not be the gas cap.
