If oil changes are made on schedule, you can expect to change the timing chain at 150,000 miles~ with the American 22RE....im my experience~

22r,22re 150k then new timing chain job. 2tr has a better chain system then the older ones, 300k plus. If you take good care for them all will go 500k. 22re 573,879 drive weekly.
