what is wire color code to hook into the distrubtor

have  a 1995 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 engine - wanting to know what the color
code to the distributor- has 4 wires NEED THE CORRECT COLOR code of
the wires to hook it up- as got pulled off and wires are the same on the one
we got to replace it

You will need to find a good wiring diagram, probably in a factory repair manual. If there is a plug you may be able to buy a new pigtail from Toyota.

we found a wire diagram -but the wires on the 1995 have different colors than the diagram shows- and the plug we got is total different colors- so not sure which way to hook them up -

Clearly you will need a correct wiring diagram. I would try your Toyota dealer. If there were wiring loom changes your VIN should get you the right parts.

I am guessing that some of the colors are the same or similar. You may have to try different combinations until it runs.
