Engine light goes on and off

Asked by Margar0606 Feb 26, 2017 at 09:49 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Fleet RWD

Question type: General

Engine has just been replaced on my suburban
2005. Engine light comes on and stays on for a day
then goes off. Today it started blinking for a few
seconds then went off. I stopped and turn the car
off and when I  turned it back on, I couldn't see the
engine light at all. Now it turns on sometimes. Any
ideas whats up with my car.

you need to scan for the codes , there are different types , some can come and go and others may not put up the light but you have to know what they are .

Take it to your local auto parts store, they will scan it for you free of charge. Flashing light means random misfires
