Should I replace my catalytic converter?

Asked by zach Jul 10, 2020 at 03:37 PM about the 2004 Toyota Sienna 4 Dr XLE Passenger Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2004 Toyota Sienna. Runs fine up until 3000 RPMs, but won't accelerate past
3000. Check engine light blinks when trying to accelerate above 3000. Code is
P0430. Is this definitely a clogged catalytic converter? Or possibly something
else? Any suggestions for what to check before replacing cat?

1 Answer

Have a muffler shop do a back pressure test on the cats before replacing.
