To remove front seats on a 2003 Toyoto Sienna is it necessary to remove the battery cable
replacing the carpet throughout van....do you have to remove the battery
before disconnecting the electrical connector under the passenger seat that
feeds the blower fan motor to the rear of the van?
wouldnt hurt !!
Always, always, always disconnect the negative (-) battery cable when doing a repair that is in close proximity of any electrical wires, connections, components, etc. If you're ever unsure, error on the side of caution and disconnect the battery cable. It only takes a minute or two and can save you hundreds of dollars in repair costs if say the computer gets fried. You may also prevent a possible airbag deployment if working near those areas.
