Have to start by getting the codes read. The scanner has to be capable of reading ABS codes.
Wife and I bought a used 2010 Equinox which developed the same problem (transmission stayed in 2nd gear all the time). Transmission computer detected a fault in the transmission, which had to be rebuilt.
t/c and abs light comes on periodically for over two months. Now sounds like it is not shifting gears and gas mileage has decreased
