The truck will start and run then wont start again

Asked by jotofam Dec 07, 2010 at 05:21 PM about the 1991 Toyota Pickup 2 Dr STD Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We can go out an start truck half the time it will start right up and you can drive it all day then the next day you can go to start it and it wont start for anything, If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated it has a rebuilt motor with 5000 miles on it and we have had it to 3 mechanics who have replaced about everything they can think of. please help.

hey mate is it a diesel or petrol? if a diesel i can help ya out

Couple things that I fixed when I had that problem...distributor, timing, fuel pump and injectors. Could also be your coil I suppose too. Dunno if that will help, just figured I would throw out a few suggestions. CHEERS
