I don't have power to both of my engine fuses, box & interior cab.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A rat got into the wiring and  chewed up the wiring harness and I now have no power to the engine fuses.  I traced out the harness and separated the cooked wires and still have no power to the engine fuses.  What could be the problem?

darned rats....you gotta break out your tester to check for continuity at the fusebox~...then trace that back to where the origin is~ also there is a "fuse-block" to assure that nothing starts on fire~ FUSEable link (not a chimp)~ on our toyotas is a handy rectangular fuse in the fuse block...on most others is a pigtail off the battery~ so yeah....check for power at the sources....again there is a chance the whole show could have been shut down by a fuseable link~
