can't get the car going over 1100 rpm's with new(used) engine.

i put a new manuel engine in my 92 paseo. took out the manual tranny parts, replaced with auto tranny parts. engine runs
great.ATF fluid up to full on dipstick. when i put in drive i can't get the engine rpm's over 1100, won't increase power. i
replaced old vacume hoses and made sure all in proper place. replaced o2 sensors. cleaned all electrical connections.
is there something i shouuld focus on with the auto tranny. everything went together with no problems. i be stumped!
