Radiator fluid in overflow

Asked by GuruXK991 Nov 06, 2018 at 01:00 AM about the 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When we are towing a caravan and the
outside temperature goes over 35 degrees
our radiator starts to put radiator fluid in the
overflow and will not put it back into the
radiator, so if we have to pull up every couple
of 100 klms and put the fluid back in
otherwise it will keep putting fluid out intil the
radiator is low and starts heating the car. We
have replaced radiator, radiator cap,
thermostat, clutch fan and water pump

Do you have white smoke coming from the exhaust? This sounds like you may have a head gasket leak.

Not that has been real noticeable but I am going to take more notice in the future because being diesel it nearly always blows a certain amount of smoke.
