02 corolla with oil fouled plugs

Asked by Katie Apr 21, 2018 at 06:56 PM about the 2002 Toyota Corolla CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 02 corolla had oil on the tips of 1st and 3rd
cylinder. It was throwing codes for miss firing. I
changed all plugs and cleared the codes then
cranked it and it is still shaking and miss firing. Is
there anything besides a rebuild that will keep it
running a while longer?
In the last 3-4 years I have replaced the oil pan,
valve cover gasket, coils, front 02 sensor, pc valve
and cleaned the MAF sensor. The issue is
progressively gotten worse. Please help I have to
make this car work.

Typically whem there is oil on the plugs... its a sign of piston ring failure or head gasket. And those are pretty invasive repairs. Maybe a stop leak for the head gasket. Or an oil stabizer.... i hate to say it but the motor is condemned.
