Idle problem

In drive neutral and reverse my engine idles rough and acts like it’s not getting
gas like it’s suffocating

Try simple things first: 1: Good quality injector cleaner in gas tank then top off tank(with gas). Many take 2X to see problem go completely away. repeat every 3-4 months. 2. change fuel filter.... fairly easy job if you have a any skills and tools.
