What's wrong with my sound system?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My radio stopped turning on the same time I discovered my windshield was leaking. I just got the leak fixed, and now I want to fix my radio without paying for a diagnostic or installation fees. What's wrong with it? Does any part need to be replaced?

Maybe the two problems are not a coincidence? Think about it and check your fuses.

Oh, I'm certain they are related. I checked the fuses a while back and they look normal, but I am no electronics wiz. It's been suggested that it shorted out due to the water, but I don't know what to do about that.

Yup, if the radio got water inside it will likely be ruined.
