Shaking

Asked by Luke Mar 19, 2017 at 05:03 PM about the 1999 Toyota Corolla CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Once I get up to around 55 mph the car and
steering wheel shake very hard. And it stops
shaking if I get past about 70 mph. Not sure if it's
my alignment or what. But I would appreciate
some help on a diagnosis.

sounds like a suspension based problem, so heres my sugestion lift the car with a jack get under it and try to shake any bars you see that connect to the wheels and the sway bar links, if its all tight check your tire pressure on that model it should be between "30 and 40 psi" just refer to the tires sidewall if your unsure though
