i have a toyota corolla ceres AE 101 CAR it just cut off on me while driving , mechanic said its not getting electricity to the distributor what could cause this to happen ?

Coil. The 1996 Corolla has the 1.8L but before coil-on-plug. The coil is inside the distributor on that car. Or a failed igniter. OR you could possibly have a 1.6L. if so let me know

Opps. Base. 1.6L 4A FE But still coil or igniter if your mechanic is right
